261 violations on agricultural lands in number of governorates removed

The Agriculture and Land Reclamation Ministry managed to remove 261 encroachments on agricultural lands in a number of governorates.

This comes within the framework of the expanded campaign carried out by the ministry to preserve agricultural lands.

In a report issued on Thursday, the ministry said that there were violations on 28 feddans over the past 48 hours.

For his part, Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Essam Fayed warned from the ongoing encroachments on the agricultural lands, adding there is cooperation between his ministry and the security apparatuses to overcome those who violate the plots of lands.

The encroachments on the fertile agricultural land reached 1.4 million cases since the outbreak of the January 25th Revolution, the minister underscored.
