Six takfiri elements have been killed and 18 more arrested in manhunt operations in North Sinai.
Two stores full of explosive materials were also bombed, said military spokesman Col. Tamer el Refaie said in a statement Monday.
Eight explosive devices were also detected and destroyed, he added.
Law enforcement troops will continue to act to uproot terrorism, Refaie stressed.
