Assiut desert road closed over traffic accident

Cairo-Assiut Western Desert Road was closed on Monday following a multiple-vehicle collision promoted by tense fogs, the Egyptian Transport Ministry said in a statement.
Some 12 persons were wounded in the accident.
Efforts are under way to re-open the road.
