Unidentified assailants opened fired on a non-commissioned police officer in North Sinai on Monday.
The non-commissioned police officer, identified as Mohamed Sayed Hafez, was killed by an unknown gunmen, in North Sinai, an official at the security information center said in a statement issued by the Interior Ministry on Monday.
Efforts are underway to arrest the perpetrators and reveal the circumstances surrounding the incident, added the statement.
