An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale hit Faryab city in the central province of Kerman, Southeast Iran.
According to Iranian Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute, the quake was registered at a depth of 9 kilometers underground.
The earthquake caused no damages or casualties, according to local officials, while an aftershock was recorded in the city at 2.6 degrees.
