People watch the waves hitting the shoreline at Bat-Yam beach, south of Tel Aviv, Israel, on Jan. 6, 2015. Heavy rains and strong winds were felt across Israel Tuesday and Wednesday as a heavy storm reached the country. The cold northern front set in Tuesday evening and continued Wednesday, with snow and sleet falling in the north of Galilee and the Golan Heights with additional snow expected in Jerusalem, along with heavy rains and winds across central Israel.
