Malaysian rainforests are teeming with more than six thousands natural herbs which can be developed and used as nutritional and cosmetic products to boost the country’s revenues, according to a statement made by the Malaysian Forest Research Institute’s director Dr. Abdul Latif Mohammed. Dr. Mohammed who also said that there are more than 20 medical plants herbs and plants from which cosmetic products and perfumes could be extracted. Dr. Mohammed added that thanks to to modern technology, it would not be impossible for us to tap the vast potentials of our rainforests to push the Malaysian economy forward and attain the position of a high-yielding revenue economy.
