Jeddah - Spa

Temperatures are expected to decrease gradually in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by 2 to 5 degrees Celsius between late Ramadan (August-end) and mid-Shawwal (mid-September), the Presidency of Meteorology and the Environment (PME) said in its forecast report prior to Eid Al-Fitr holidays. The PME said the northwestern regions of the Kingdom including Tabuk and the coastal governorates up to Madinah Province, and parts of Makkah Province are expected to be affected by the Azores High, which will lead to a gradual decrease in temperatures. The northern regions will be affected by differences in temperatures and active winds, which may lead to dust and lower visibility. This will be accompanied by scattered light to medium showers over the northern and central regions, possibly including Riyadh. Southern regions and the southwestern and western highlands will come under the influence of the inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) that will fluctuate northwards and southwards in these regions during this period, hence leading to the possibility of medium to heavy rainfall over the Asir and Jizan highlands, PME said in its report.
