Quake hits Iran's Kerman province

An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale hit the town of Rabar in Kerman province, Southeastern Iran, on Tuesday. The Seismological center of Kerman province affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the quake at dawn. The epicenter of the quake was located in an area 56.8 degrees in longitude and 29.5 degrees in latitude. According to Iranian news agency (Fars), there are yet no reports on the number of possible casualties or damage to properties by the quake.
