Storm Dagmar ruined travel plans for Swedes the day after Christmas, officials said. "This is a day many are planning to go home, But my advice is to postpone their journey as long as possible," said Peter Behrman, press information officer at the Swedish Transport Authority. Although the storm has passed, the aftermath carried into Monday with many delayed train routes, 154,000 households without power and fallen trees blocking streets, the Swedish news agency TT reported. The stop in rail traffic left many travelers stranded on their way home Monday. The rail service advised passengers to keep an eye on their Web site for updates on departure times. "And if you have an already booked ticket, you'll receive a text message with information," Magnus Andersson of the SJ press service told TT. Delays in rail traffic have left many passengers turning to long-distance bus travel, putting pressure on bus operators. "People are standing everywhere wanting to get on the coaches. We are driving a much as we can manage," said the traffic head for coach company Y-buss, Peter Westh.
