The Emirates International Date Palm Festival was launched today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the festival is organised by the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) in partnership with the Date Palm Friends Society. The festival includes six new and distinguished events, such as :" The Local Cultural Oasis", which was designed on the shape of the UAE map. Various types of palm trees will be showcased, besides other activities. The festival witnesses a wide participation from the national pavilions along with a remarkable presence of the GCC and Arab pavilions, which provided outstanding products, innovations that thrill visitors and date enthusiasts. Mohamed Jalal Al Reyaysa, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of the Festival, said, "The festival provides the latest developments on the events and products", stressing that it focuses on consumers to ensure purchasing opportunities at the lowest prices.
