A photo exhibition showing Japanese imperialists' atrocities in the Asia-Pacific region during war times will be held in Hong Kong and Macao in mid-December, organizers said Thursday.
The exhibition, sponsored by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, will first be staged in Hong Kong and Macao on Dec. 12 and 13 respectively. It will be moved to other countries and regions next year, the federation said at a press conference.
The move is a prelude for marking the 70th anniversary of victory for China's war against Japanese aggression and the world war against Fascism, which will fall in September 2015, according to the federation.
China officially set Sept. 3 as the "Victory Day" earlier this year, 69 years after Japan formally surrendered.
The exhibition will depict the Japanese germ experiment base in the Malay Peninsula and its murder of foreign diplomats for the first time, the federation said. Photos will also feature Japan's massacre of citizens and war captives as well as its crimes against women and children.
Photos and documents for the exhibition were contributed by people from 60 countries and regions across the world, it said.
