A 3D gallery opened here Wednesday, the first of its kind in the Russian Far East.
The gallery, located on Vladivostok's major street Svetlanskaya, houses more than 20 3D pictures in its current exhibition.
"A team of artists in Perm were the first to have such an idea. Their works have been exhibited at several galleries throughout Russia and we became one of them," Svetlana Klushnikova, organizer of the 3D exhibition, told Xinhua. "As you can see, the paintings revive from certain angles, especially when you are looking through the camera. There are 24 3D paintings here and we'll renew the exposition every three months."
Klushnikova said children are very interested in the 3D paintings, which "help them to develop acting skills by making different poses and expressing different emotions."
In the second half of the 20th century, 3D paintings became popular in Europe and the United States. They appeared in Russia in the early 21st century.
