Egyptian film documentaries ‘The Virgin,’ ‘The Copts and Me’ and ‘The Three Disappearances of Soad Hosny’ – along with feature-length film ‘678’ – will all participate in the 18th annual Franco-Arab Film Festival, which kicked off on Saturday in Amman, Jordan. The festival will run until 21 June. The event will feature 19 films – from Jordan, Algeria, Morocco, France, Lebanon, Canada and Egypt – and host a short-film competition. The event is organised by the Institut Français, the French embassy and the RFC, in cooperation with the Al-Rai Centre for Research and the GAM. Films will be screened at Jordan’s Royal Film Commission, the Rainbow Theatre and the King Hussein Cultural Centre.
