The International Acrobatic Art Festival opened here Monday evening, with over 2,000 audience attending a spectacular opening ceremony in the Acrobatics College. Acrobatics from 13 countries, including China, Russia, Ukraine, the United States and Mongolia, will participate in the festival, said Minister for Culture, Sports and Tourism Tsedevdamba Oyungerel. The minister added that the eight-day event will show people the charm of the acrobatic art and will help promote cultural and acrobatic art exchanges among countries. The acrobatic shows at this year's festival, which combines tradition with innovation, fall into several categories -- aerial acrobatics, on-ground acrobatics, magic, funny show and animal taming.
