Tonight’s the night and it promises to be a night to remember as the annual Skywards Dubai International Jazz Festival kicks-off at its brand new location, at the Dubai Festival City (DFC). The nine-day festival that will mark the popular festival’s 10th anniversary will feature the best line-up of the past nine years with James Blunt taking stage on the opening night. Over the years, the Skywards Dubai International Jazz Festival has provided spectacular live entertainment and has become a must-attend event. Thousands of jazz enthusiasts in the UAE will be heading their way to DFC tonight and every other night till the curtain falls on February 24. Tomorrow, it will be Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra who will keep the crowd on their feet on the grassy greens followed by James Morrison February 18. The music will keep playing all through the week, all night long and from February 18 through February 23 you can chill at the “Jazz Garden” while listening to international jazz and Rhythm and Blues artists. Ali Emaram a young soul and rock artist, will be performing in-between acts at the special SUV Toyota display. The second weekend of the main gigs continues with Jason Mraz on February 23 with James Morrison wrapping up the festival on February 24. Dubai Festival City promises fans an unparalleled experience! You can enjoy the finest shopping in Festival Centre and mouth-watering gourmet restaurants at the Marina Restaurant Pavilion before you hop on the Big Bus Tours Shuttle to the fantastic new concert venue. One of the unique aspects of this year’s festival is the food, with the InterContinental and Crowne Plaza DFC outlets taking their fine dishes to the great grassy venue.
