The Kuwaiti embassy in Hungary has inaugurated an art fair in Budapest to mark the 50th anniversary of forging diplomatic relations between Kuwait and Hungary.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Kuwaiti Ambassador in Budapest Hamad Borhamah, and a number of Hungarian officials, mainly the minister of culture, and diplomats.
The Kuwaiti art fair embraces five key stalls, including one for His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's humanitarian activities.
The two-day fair was held at a famous arts museum in central Budapest, with 110 portrait paintings and photo posters being put on display.
The other stalls are allocated for Kuwait's sea environment, historical monuments, folk games and modern image.
Addressing the ceremony, the Kuwaiti ambassador stressed the significance of this event as Kuwait was the first Gulf country to have forged diplomatic relations with Hungary 50 years back.
He voiced happiness at the fact that the art fair coincides with Kuwait's festivals marking the UN honoring of His Highness the Amir as a "Humanitarian Leader" and Kuwait as a "Humanitarian Center", together with National Day and Liberation Day celebrations.
