Author Clark Selby says that he has been a fan of Western movies and fascinated with cattle drives since he was a child. He largely attributes this to his being born in Oklahoma and growing up in Kansas. His fascination with cattle drives and the stories behind them grew as he got older, finally hitting an apex with his publishing of a book about them.
Selby is proud to announce his new novel, “Indian Leader Trail Boss” (published by Trafford Publishing), which follows a famous trail boss on a cattle drive that could very well cost him his life.
Indian Leader is Texas’ most famous cattle driver and trail boss. When he is tasked with leading 3,000 longhorns from Star Ranch to Dodge City, he assumes it will be nothing more than a typical job. He realizes just how wrong he is immediately upon arriving at the ranch, where he finds the ranch owner’s daughter, Serene, by herself and her father dead.
Throughout “Indian Leader Trail Boss,” readers will watch as Indian Leader attempts to lead Serene and the 3,000 longhorn on their lengthy trek in an attempt to save Serene’s ranch, all while avoiding a murderous gang. Their journey will become increasingly complicated as the gang grows closer, and Indian Leader begins falling in love with Serene.
Selby hopes readers will find the same entertainment and wonder from his book that he first felt as a child watching Westerns.
