The symposium, under the theme “Algeria-South Korea, society, development and modernity: comparative approaches,” opened Monday at the Centre for Research in Social and Cultural Anthropology (CRASC).
The meeting, which will include the presentation of about forty lectures dedicated to many fields of common interest, follows other similar meetings, held in the two countries respectively.
The symposium is also part of the partnership between the research institutions the two countries, explain organizers.
The lecturers of both countries will discuss various issues such as colonisation, management, entrepreneurship, training and culture.
As part of continuing training, a doctoral workshop is scheduled in order to discuss the works of eight doctoral students. The organizers also scheduled a round table with business managers from Algeria and South Korea.
The event is initiated by CRASC, in partnership with the Centre for Research in applied economy for development (CREAD) and the Higher National School of Management (ENSM) in collaboration with the Korean Association of Maghreb Studies, the Institute of Euro-African studies (Hanyang University), the Centre of Francophone studies (Sungkyunkwan University) and the Ewha Social Sciences Institute (Ewha Women’s University).
