Contemporary Arab and Lebanese films will be screened at Cornerhouse, Manchester's contemporary visual arts and independent film centre starting 14 April. The films selected in the programme are by filmmakers who lived through Lebanon's civil war. Films include, I Want to See by Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige, Okay, Enough, Goodbye by Daniel Garcia and Rania Attieh, The Three Disappearances of Soad Hosny by Rania Stephan, Stray Bullet by Georges Hachem and Where Do We Go Now by Nadine Labaki. The screenings are held in conjunction with an exhibition titled Subversion, a contemporary art exhibition by 11 Arab artists who explore the modern Arab identity. The exhibition is curated by Omar Kholeif and features the following artists: Akram Zaatari, Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige, Khaled Hafez, Larissa Sansour, Marwa Arsanios, Sharif Waked, Sherif El-Azma, Tarzan & Arab and Wafaa Bilal.
