French writer and journalist, Robert Solé is on a visit to Cairo this week, hosted by the French Institute in Cairo and the National Centre for Translation (NCT). The author will give lectures describing his experience writing about Egypt, his birthplace. He will also be signing the newly-released Arabic translation of his book The Egypt Lover's Dictionary, released by the NCT. Robert Solé, born in Egypt on 1964 to a Christian family, studied in Egypt until the age of 18. He then left to continue his studies in France, where he studied journalism and worked at Le Monde as a reporter between Washington and Rome. Solé had always had nostalgia for Egypt, which he revisited in the late 1990s and decided to write about. Solé's itinerary will include four events in three days starting Tuesday.
