The Second Istanbul Conference on Mediation under the auspices of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will be held on April 11-12. The first conference under the theme of "Enhancing Peace Through Mediation" took part in Istanbul on February 24-25, 2012. This year's motto is "Keys to Effective Mediation" and the conference will focus on the efforts to find peaceful solution to conflict zones. The processes in the Middle East, Somalia, Afghanistan and Syria, also the efforts for peaceful solutions in Sudan and the Philippines will be evaluated in five different panel discussions. In the final session of the conference, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Finland's Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja and the president of the United Nations General Assembly Vuk Jeremic will deliver speeches.
