Egyptian Minister of Culture Mohamed Saber Arab is to open "Lotus Flower", an art exhibition by Egyptian artist Amr Fahmy, on Wednesday evening at Art Corner Gallery in Zamalek. Lotus Flower captures the Egyptian revolution through the eyes of the artist. According to Ahram Arabic website, Fahmy's works will also include a number of paintings that cover other topics. The exhibition includes a painting of martyr Karim Khouzam, in addition to caricatures and portraits of some Egyptian figures such as Ismail Yassin, late President Anwar Sadat, Mohamed ElBaradei, and Sheikh Mohammed Sharawi, along with paintings that reflect on women as an important part of the community. Programme: Lotus Flower will open at Art Corner on Wednesday 20 June and will run until 17 July. 12 Sayed El-Bakri Street, Zamalek, Cairo
