One of the highlights of last weekend's celebrations to mark the 40th anniversary of the UAE was the sight of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, performing the sword dance to a delighted audience at Zayed Sports City. This week's photograph is a reminder of that moment, and also forms part of the nation's birthday party. It was taken by Ahmad Junaidi, a photographer from Nablus who first came to Abu Dhabi in 1968, where he eventually set up the city's first colour studio in 1972. Much of his work captured life in the Emirates during the 1970s and is currently being displayed at an exhibition called The Roots of Success at the Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana hotel
