Cairo - Arabstoday

The Austrian Cultural Forum in Cairo, in cooperation with the Egyptian theatre troupe Lighting Group, will present the play “Left-Handed Women” this week. The play will be translated into Arabic. The drama tells the story of Mariana and director Prono, a couple of ten years living in Paris with their son Stevan. Mariana divorces her husband under unclear circumstances and lives with her son for eight years, a change that appears initially liberating but proves to be lonely and isolating. The play will be staged twice in Cairo at the Gezira Youth Center this Thursday. It ran once in Alexandria at the Ebdaa Center on November 11.
