"Kuwait Alsalam - Emarat Al Wafa" festival is to kick-start tomorrow, January 16, here in Dubai to celebrate the deep ties between Kuwait and the UAE.
Head of the festival and CEO of the Future group Abrar Al-Mas'oud told (KUNA) on Thursday that the festival will be held at Al Shindagha Historical village on January 16-17, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.
The festival will not only rejoice the bilateral ties but will also celebrate the naming of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a "Humanitarian Leader" by the United Nations for his outstanding role in supporting global humanitarian issues.
The Kuwaiti-Emirati festival will feature colorful performances and eminent cultural figures from both nations. It will also feature creative and interactive workshops, of which some are dedicated to younger audiences.
Unique artwork pieces, fashion shows inspired by the deep rooted traditions of both countries will be showcased and concerts featuring well-known Kuwaiti and Emirati artists will be held.
Several stalls will be set up for visitors to purchase traditional Kuwaiti and Emirati items.
The festival is organized by Dubai governorate, Kuwait Consulate, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Kuwait Food Company (Americana), Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and Al-Jarida newspaper.
