Jury members for the upcoming edition of the Luxor African Film Festival (LAFF) will include Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby and scriptwriter Medhat El-Adl.
Shalaby will make up the jury for the long features competition alongside director Saied Hamed and Bukina Faso's Fanta Regina Nacro.
Meanwhile, El-Adl will sit on the jury for long documentaries alongside film director Magdy Ahmed Ali.
Jury members in the short film competition include French actor Eric Ebouaney, Egypt's director of photography Zaki Aref and director Saad Hendawy.
The fourth edition of LAFF, which runs from 16 to 21 March, is dedicated to late Egyptian actor Khaled Saleh. The festival will screen films from 41 countries.
Entries from Egypt include Freedom Island, a short film inspired by the events which unfolded in Tahrir square. The 21-minute feature is directed by Hassan Saleh, and produced and co-written by Heba El-Husseiny.
Also in the short film competition is El-Walid Gamal's A Moment, which follows a writer as he completes the script of his latest film.
Meanwhile, The Past Will Return, Dina Hamza's tribute to her late father poet and songwriter Mohamed Hamza, will compete in the long documentaries category.
