Oman Message of Islam exhibition, organised in cooperation with the Islamic Mashiakhah in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was launched at Gazi Husrev-beg Library in Sarajevo on Sunday.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was held under the auspices of Sheikh Dr. Hussein Kavazovi Raes Al Ulama
and the Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition, which will run until the end of April 2017, was held in the presence of persons interested in common values.
The exhibition aims at promoting culture of peaceful coexistence and understanding among nations, civilizations and people.
The exhibition, for the first time in Bosnian language, comes as part of the efforts being exerted by the Sultanate in dissemination of high human values and conveying a message of peace to the world, amid an atmosphere of regional tensions and spillover of extremism and terrorism and violence. Hence, the voice of (the Message of Peace) is a response to all of these inhuman practices that are inconsistent with the teachings of religions and cultures, promoting mercy and peace.
The exhibition includes 50 posters to show the message of Islam in Romanian language and displayed for the first time in Bosnian language, expressing aspects of public life in the Sultanate and its modern renaissance and continuous development under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
The exhibition also included Omani fine art paintings and calligraphy, in addition to some Omani artefacts and features of public life in Oman’s past and present.
The exhibition 'Global Message' is an international campaign that aims at promoting coexistence, peace, tolerance and understanding cultures through cards that reflect these values in social networks and websites in different languages.
