On its 7th day, the Pink Caravan Ride is organising the "Pink Regatta" event for Monday, a pink boat parade at The Palm, Dubai from 1 p.m to 3 p.m.. A number of boats owners, together with international jockeys, will join a parade of six boats decorated in pink and presented by Nakheel Real Estate Developer in Dubai.
The event aims to draw the attention of the public, highlighting the Pink Caravan Ride’s efforts in spreading breast cancer awareness and promoting its free checkups for early detection offered by its fixed and mobile medical clinics.
Mobile medical clinics are open all nationalities, offering free breast cancer early detection services from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in different cities across the UAE.
The ride, taking place from 7th-17th March, is a pan-UAE breast cancer awareness initiative by the Friends of Cancer Patients Society, launched under the patronage of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and under the directive of his wife, H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Founder and Patron of the Friends of Cancer Patients Society.
Under the sloga,n "Soldiers of Pink Hope", the ride aims to spread awareness about breast cancer and about the importance of early detection as well as offering free clinical examinations and screenings all across the UAE.
