Qatar Airways gave the visitors of Janadriyah festival in Riyadh a taste of its renowned hospitality at its stand in the festival’s Qatar wing, in coordination with the Embassy of Qatar, and supported by Qatar’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer Al-Thani.
At the Qatar Airways’ stand, guests were able to explore the airlines’ many offerings for passengers traveling from Saudi Arabia. Qatar Airways currently serves eight destinations in the Kingdom: Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Dammam, Hofuf, Qassim, Taif and Abha, with Tabuk and Yanbu to be added to the list in 2017. With 140 flights a week from Saudi Arabia, including four flights a day from Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, Qatar Airways connects passengers from the Kingdom to more than 150 destinations around the world, via its home hub — the award-winning Hamad International Airport in Doha.
Ahmad Mir, Qatar Airways country manager — KSA and Yemen, said: “Saudi Arabia has a unique culture, which the Janadriyah festival celebrates. We are proud to be part of this iconic heritage event, supporting the continuation of traditional culture while sharing our own Qatari heritage as part of the Qatar wing. Through Qatar Airways, our customers in Saudi Arabia have access to the world, via one of the world’s only five-star airports and on one of the region’s most celebrated airlines.”
When flying Qatar Airways from Saudi Arabia, passengers transit through the airline’s home, Hamad International Airport. The airport was recently given the prestigious honor of being named one of the top airports in the world by Skytrax, which initiated Hamad International Airport into its “5-Star Airport” rating category — a title shared by only six airports the world over, with Hamad International the only one to receive the title in the Middle East. Skytrax’ “5-Star Airport” rating is achieved based on the highest overall quality performance, recognizing the provision of excellent facilities for customers and high quality airport staff service.
Hamad International Airport echoes the commitment of Qatar Airways to delivering a superior experience. Al Safwa First Lounge provides customers traveling in First Class with a premium experience that puts them as the one and only priority, making every moment perfect, down to the meticulous details that make a journey seamless, from start to finish.
