Rai singer Cheb Mami will participate, along with other artists from the Arab world and the USA, in the 50th Hammamet International Festival (south-east of Tunis) scheduled from August 12 to 20, announced the local press.
Cheb Mami, the festival's distinguished guest with Tunisian singers Lotfi Bouchnak and Saber Rebai, the American disco and R&B star Gloria Gaynor as well as the Lebanese musician Oussama Rahbani, will perform his old songs including some that are known worldwide.
Founded in 1964, the International Hamamet Festival is the most important cultural event in Tunisia after the Carthage International Festival.
