Kremnica, a small town in central Slovakia, hosted the 34th annual Gagy festival, which was considered as one of the most famous humour and comedy festival in central Europe.
This year's Gagy started with an opening ceremony at which the official hymn was presented by the famous Slovak mime, Milan Sladek.
"I'm pleased that you have come to Kremnica. It is difficult for a mime to speak, but I would like to thank to the organizers to have made me the president of the Academy of Humor," said Sladek at the opening speech.
The organizers handed out prizes and awards in many categories of comedy. This year, 40 humorists have been nominated for the 7 awards available.
The festival was organized every year near or at the end of the summer since 1981 by enthusiasts from Kremnica and other Slovak cities.
