Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received here today Dr. Ali Abdulla Al Doy, who presented him a copy of his book entitled "Bahraini village: past scent and future aspirations".
Shaikh Mohammed lauded the book's topic, and underscored the importance of such publications in enriching the national library and informing researchers about Bahrain's heritage.
The book includes a research about the nature and components of villages in Bahrain, and their difference from their counterparts in other countries.
It also highlights the villages' services, infrastructure and importance in the national history.
