In his new book, “A Letter from the Dead” (published by AuthorHouse), Dr. Sarwar presents a satirical look at the afterlife, illustrating the flaws he has seen in many religious views about heaven and hell.
Sarwar, who is also the main character, seeks to understand what exactly happens after death. He narrates at his own funeral and is then brought to heaven where the angels grant him passage to both heaven and hell. His letter describes what he finds and what the afterlife truly looks like.
As he journeys around both places, Sarwar encounters kings, generals, artists and writers who have either been taken to heaven or hell. His conversations with these historical figures demonstrate differing points of view about what gets a person into heaven or hell.
Sarwar’s goal for the book is to discredit the reality of heaven and hell. He firmly believes that any happiness in the afterlife, whatever it may be, can be attained by doing good deeds on earth, regardless of religious beliefs.
