Losing touch with friends is a natural part of growing into adulthood. What would happen if childhood friends reunited in their hometown? Author Gina Lea explores this scenario in her new book, “Defining Destiny: Book One of the TrueNorth/Destinybay Series” (published by Archway Publishing).
“Defining Destiny” is the story of three friends facing the challenge of reconnecting. Sara, Alex and Diana are childhood friends who return to their hometown of Destinybay. Life did not turn out like they planned. As children, they vowed to escape their hometown to find love, adventure and a better future. They soon discover that friendship is the one constant in a changing world, and maybe this is the secret to discovering their destiny.
“We all face turning points in our life when the decisions we make will change our journey and often needs to,” Lea says, “but which road should you take and where will you end up based on that choice? We all have to reinvent ourselves at some point, so I hope my readers will relate to those struggles.”
Praise for “Defining Destiny”:
“Debut Author Lea presents a quaint snapshot of small-town life and explores the bond of friendship and love in her novel. … Her descriptions of harvest festivals, town parades, summer camps and eccentric personalities drop the reader right in the middle of the archetypal town square.”
