Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) published a book entitled "Arab League.. Causes and Challenges" to celebrate the 25th Arab Summit, due to kick off on March 25-26. The 260-page book tackles key political and economic issues on the Arab arena. It also sheds light on a future vision of Arab cooperation under the umbrella of the Arab League. The book contains prologues by the Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah and KUNA Board Chairman and Director-General Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah. Arab League chief Nabil Al-Arabi also speaks in the book on the development of the Arab League organization and boosting the Arab joint action. One of the key topics presented in the book is a detailed account on the history of the Palestinian cause, highlighting some of the main wars that occurred between the Arabs and the Jews, in addition to highlighting the Arab League's role on this issue. The Lebanese cause is also discussed in the book since the independence of Lebanon in 1943 until the start of the Lebanese civil war in 1975. It also highlights the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in June 1982. The Syrian crisis is also highlighted in the book. The chapter details the ongoing bloodshed and the struggle of the Syrian refugees and the displaced. It also tackles the Arab League's role in finding a solution for the Syrian crisis through the United Nations. The book also takes on some of the political, economic and social challenges in the Arab World and the efforts to establish an Arab free trade zone in order to achieve a comprehensive Arab economy. The book highlights the significance of boosting the Arab joint action to improve many essential fields in technology, commerce, environment and infrastructure to make a change in the Arab world.
