The newly-released issue of cultural quarterly Ibdaa pays tribute to Egypt's late icons, Abdel Ghaffar Mekkawi, Milad Hanna, Hanaa Abdel Fattah, Ammar el-Sherei and Madjour Thabet. The magazine also includes a special section on poetry criticism including articles on Abu al-Alaa al-Mearri and excerpts from his poems.The magazine also includes studies on Arab poets Nazik al-Malaika, Saleh Gawdat, Nizar Qabbani, Afifi Mattar, Farouk Shousha, and Hasan Tolab, and a feminist study of Abbas al-Akkad and Salama Moussa by Dr Lana Moussa.Along with other articles, the issue also offers a number of poems by Mohammed al-Shahawi, Italian poet Mariantici, Moroccan Khaled Boudref, and Tunisian Hneida ben Osman. Short stories by Saeif Kaffrawi, Sherif Abdel Meguid and Omaima Ezz el-Dine also appear.In addition, lovers of the plastic arts can enjoy a section on Shafik Rizk and Omar al-Nagdi.
