Real estate millionaire, Rick Otton, speaking with one of his students on a Creative Real Estate podcast, recently revealed how easy it is to simplify the buying process by using a direct approach – finding out what the seller wants and giving it to them. “I like to just say to someone, ’Sir, I really would like to buy your house and I know you want to sell it.’ Suddenly he is ready to consider me, and hear what I have to say,” said Mr Otton. “I like to simply ask ‘How can we make this work?’ and the next thing you know the seller is explaining what his situation is, and I have the information I need to make the deal happen.” Mr Otton helps students learn how to buy Australian property for sale using creative real estate strategies that allow them to avoid traditional bank loans and large up-front deposits. “You need to learn the ropes, and if you are willing to get in there and buy a property using non-traditional techniques, you are going to start to understand more and more about how to make money everyday,” said Mr Otton. In the iTunes podcast, Mr Otton acknowledged that when real estate investors start out there is a period of adjustment followed by an ongoing learning journey. “As time goes by you become more conscious of the ways that you can make a profit, and then implement strategies that will increase your profits,” said Mr Otton. “Most people go into a property negotiation thinking ‘what can I get out of this thing?’. This means there is going to be a pitch battle. If you want everything to come together you have to instead ask the seller ‘what is it you want?’” Mr Otton teaches students how to give sellers what they want, the questions to ask, and what to say in order to get what they want “by default”. “If you give people what they want you get what you want in return. That’s huge, because you don’t end up working through a negotiation. You’re just giving them what they want. They’re happy, and then you feel like you can get what you want." Source: PRWEB
