Manama - BNA

This weekend, audiences will be able to enjoy a colorful and authentic Indian performance as Bharati kicks off their performance on stage at Arad fort on the 27th and 28th.
The lively dance show reflects a blend of modern and traditional India in all its diversity, mixed with musical rhythms and beats.
70 energetic dancers will engulf the stage, adorned in 800 costumes bursting with color, along with giant video projections, authentic scenery, music from the greatest song hits of Indian cinema, and martial arts and acrobatics displays. Bharati is a depiction of a society caught in conflict between tradition and modernity.
Bharati has been considered an ambassador of India by many critics across the globe, with its panoramic portrayal of Indian culture and its creative reflection of the depth and diversity of the sub-continent. The performances draw inspiration from some of Bollywood’s most popular songs, and traditional Indian music which have been mixed and reviewed by seven leading specialists in the film industry to create scenes reflective of Indian traditions of the various regions of India. Through fitting the melodies, voices, dances, costumes, and special effects, the creators of Bharati put together an exceptional cultural image, allowing the show to receive numerous accolades, including being referred to as ‘an exceptional success’ by The Times of India.
