Choreographer Shobana Jeyasingh celebrates her company's twenty-fifth anniversary with a reworking of her 1988 work 'Configurations', set to a Michael Nyman score, played live. 'Configurations' demonstrates Jeyasingh's trademark melding of bharata natyam and contemporary dance to create a fast-footed fusion that is thrilling to watch. That is paired with a brand new work, which turns to the dramatic (rather than technical) element of Indian classical dance for its inspiration and plays with ideas of storytelling. Music for the new work comes from record producer and composer Niraj Chag.
