Red Sea Governor General Ahmed Abdullah on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of a housing project that will include the construction of 15 apartment blocks for limited income people in Shalatin.
This came during a tour made by the governor and a number of executive officials at the governorate in the villages of Abraq, Gahiliya, Abu Saafa, Wadi Hodhein.
The governor also laid the foundation stone of a project to establish 150 housing units for bedouins along with handing over 70 units for the needy bedouins in Shalatin, Abraq and Gahiliya districts.
Solar energy will be used for providing electricity to the new housing units
