Supported by the Syrian government, the General Authority for Palestine Arab Refugees (GAPAR) and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) distributed, over the past two days, 396 food packages to the citizens who are still besieged by the terrorist groups in Yarmouk Camp in Damascus.
GAPAR Director Ali Mustafa told SANA reporter on Sunday that 6 students were evacuated from the camp to submit to the university.
Mustafa added that the UNRWA’s medical center continues to provide health services and medicines to patients who need treatment, asserting that Nour Association for Relief, Development and Progressive Youth also continues to provide vaccines to children.
He pointed out that the number of the parcels containing food and medical supplies have been delivered in the neighborhood since January 30, reached 50,744 food packages and 6,949 medical ones.
The inhabitants of Yarmouk Camp are still trapped by the armed terrorist groups who have repeatedly hampered the initiatives and efforts which were agreed upon to put an end to the crisis inside the neighborhood and facilitate providing people inside it with humanitarian assistance.
