Eight state-owned firms will be listed on stock market in 2015 after the validation of the State'sShareholding Council, President of the Commission of Surveillance of Stock Exchange Operations de Bourse (COSOB), Abdelhakim Berrah announced Wednesday in Algiers .
These firms, namely the Popular Credit of Algeria Bank (CPA), the three public cement plants part of the Industrial Group of Algeria Cements (GICA), Insurance company CAAR, Cosider Quarries, subsidiary of public group of constructions Cosider, the hydro development company and finally the national operator of mobile telephony Mobilis, should offer securities to the public at the second quarter of 2014.
"These firms are preparing; once they complete their processes of listing, they will lodge their files," he said.
However, the private companies reached a very advanced stage in their process of being listing on stock market which "is very possible in 2014".
"For the public companies, it will be in 2015," he stressed.
According to Abdelhakim Berrah, the bond issues will be probably launched this year.
Algiers Stock Exchange currently counts four listed securities, those of El Aurassi Hotel Channel, Group Saidal, Alliance Assurance and NCA Rouïba
