Manama - BNA

A new seaport will be opened at Askar . His Majesty’s Personal Representative and President of the Public Commission for the Protection to Marine Resources, Environment and Wildlife Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa will inaugurate the port. The key development facility has been constructed on 120,000 square metres to cater to the needs fishing community in terms of services. The Public Commission spearheaded the project in cooperation with the Works Ministry and the Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Ministry. Urban Planning Affairs Minister Dr. Juma’a bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi paid tribute to Shaikh Abdulla for his directives to promote the sector of fishing and address fishermen’s needs. He also hailed the efforts of the Southern Municipal Council.
