The CEO of the Egyptian-Lebanese Company for Trade and Investment in Africa Maged el Menshawy and general manager of Banque Misr Lebanon in Ivory Coast Fady el Dawoq signed on Thursday a memorandum of understanding.
Menshawy said that the memo aims to establish a center to serve Egyptian exporters and Lebanese and African importers in Ivory Coast and West Africa countries especially Ghana and Senegal.
This will be implemented in coordination with the embassies of Egypt and Lebanon as well as the Egyptian trade representative office in Ivory Coast, he added.
In exclusive statements to MENA, member of the company’s board of directors Rabie Hasouna said the memo will contribute to increasing Egyptian exports to Africa as well as serving Lebanese importers especially that Egypt had signed a number of free trade agreements with various African countries.
