Upgrading the Quseir port in southern Red Sea governorate will cost about EGP 385 million, the Red Sea governor said.
In a statement on Thursday, Red Sea Governor Ahmed Abdallah said port's renovation will create jobs and support the governorate economically.
Under the development plans, the port's storage capacity of crude phosphates will be tripled to stand at 75,000 tons.
He noted that the governorate seeks to realize the optimal use of mineral wealth in northern Quseir.
