The presidential adviser for women's affairs in Egypt has called on Egyptians to boycott commodities from countries that have publicly severed all ties with the Middle Eastern state. Sekina Fouad told reporters at a meeting organised by Egypt's Press Syndicate in Cairo that countries like Turkey, Germany, France and the US had "no right" to interfere in Egypt's internal affairs. She backed the Egyptian army and police to succeed in their fight against "terrorism" in Egypt. Fouad disclosed that a number of Egyptian women groups had approached her about establishing a national project to rebuild Egypt's economy by donating gold. The state official said that Egyptian women had been at the forefront of humanitarian, economic and cultural campaigns to support their country.
