Egypt and Vietnam discussed on Wednesday investment opportunities in the Suez Canal economic zone and Upper Egypt.
This came in a meeting between Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr, chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SC ZONE) Mohab Mamish and Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
Nasr and Mamish are currently on a visit to Vietnam.
Egypt is looking forward to exchanging expertise with Vietnam in the different sectors, Nasr said in a statement.
Egypt welcomes Vietnamese investments, especially in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and fish farming projects in Upper Egypt, the statement said.
She added that the Egyptian-Vietnamese committee, that has not been in session since 2008, will be activated and that eight memos of understanding will be signed soon.
Mamish lauded distinguished relations between Egypt and Vietnam, saying he reviewed during the meeting incentives offered to investors, as well as business opportunities in the Suez Canal economic zone.
