Egyptian and Belarusian businessmen will hold meetings on the fringe of SAHARA International Agricultural Exhibition for Africa and the Middle East due to be held in Cairo on September 27.
Egypt took part in the Kazakh-Belarusian business forum held within the framework of Expo Astana on the Belarus national day, general commissioner of Egypt to Expo Astana Ahmed Taha said on Tuesday.
Taha said tete-a-tete meetings were held with Belarusian officials on the fringe of the forum.
The talks tackled means of promoting trade and industrial cooperation between the two sides, he said.
The planned meetings are scheduled to focus on joint investment opportunities as well as means of enhancing trade cooperation, he added.
Meanwhile, he noted that the Egyptian pavilion at Expo Astana witnessed a huge turnout with the number of visitors reaching 612,000 since the opening of the exhibition on June 10.
The number of Astana Expo visitors has reached a total of 2.8 million so far.
