The sixth delegation of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, ERC, led by Humaid Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of ERC for International Aid, has started distribution of 3,000 aid relief baskets to support those affected by events during about 51 days of Israeli aggression.
The move comes after the fourth convey to Gaza through the Rafah crossing, 20 trucks loaded with food items, clothes, blankets, hygiene kits, and baby requisites of clothing and food.
The aid was distributed aid to needy families whether in shelters or those who have returned to homes that were partially destroyed and need help to manage their livelihood. The distribution was focused in the areas where there are Palestinian Red Crescent Society stores.
Emad Abu al-Laban, Director of ERC Office in Gaza, said that the new aid distribution included Palestinian families who did receive aid previously. He said that the head of ERC's sixth delegation oversaw the distribution in addition to the following-up of the workflow in the Emirati field hospital.
He added that the distribution of ERC aid will continue to reach the largest possible number of needy families, in order to ease the ordeal which they have suffered and continue to suffer after losing their homes.
